Children at GCC
Childhood is a crucial period for growth and exploration, but sometimes life events can interfere with a child’s development. It’s important to address these issues as soon as possible, especially for children aged 6-9 years old. Play therapy can be an effective way to tackle emotional and psychological problems that may arise. At GCC, we offer play therapy to help children overcome various issues. Teenagers at GCC
Adolescents go through constant developmental changes which can be frustrating for parents, leaving them confused or angry. Adolescents need to establish their independence, but this can be difficult and may cause disappointment or discouragement. Developing their own identity involves becoming independent from their parents and building relationships with their peers. However, it is not easy to navigate these changes and establish values and roles, especially in a rapidly changing world. This can lead to low grades, antisocial behavior, or physical/psychological symptoms, indicating confusion about their sense of self. At Georgia Counseling Center, we specialize in helping teens and parents through this challenging time. By developing appropriate skills, insight, and boundaries, families can navigate this period with greater ease.
Developing appropriate skills, insight and boundaries can sometimes make all the difference in the family of an adolescent or teenager. In order to find out more about services offered for adolescent services, please call (678) 231-2031.
